Day 20 at HIK Summer Camp was packed with laughter, learning, and memorable experiences as we concluded another amazing week together. Our campers started the day with an energy-filled weekly field trip, and ended it with a heartwarming session of Golden Time, where every child became the leader of their own learning journey.
Morning Field Trip: Let’s Play, Learn, and Explore!
The morning was all about active exploration as our students visited a lively indoor play center—an exciting environment filled with opportunities for movement, creativity, and connection. The children joyfully:
- Slid down colorful slides
- Climbed up soft play structures
- Dove into pools of vibrant balls
- Built friendships through teamwork and play
This field trip wasn’t just fun—it was a valuable way for students to develop their motor skills, practice social interaction, and build confidence in a new setting.
Afternoon Golden Time: Student-Led Learning in Action 🌈
After a high-energy morning, the children returned to HIK for a very special part of the day: Golden Time.
Golden Time is a student-led session where children choose their own activities and decide how they want to engage. Whether it was building with blocks, creating art, role-playing, or quietly reading, each child had the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of their learning
- Make independent decisions
- Lead their own play experience
This is more than just free time—it’s an integral part of our child-centered philosophy at HIK. By encouraging choice and leadership, we nurture independence, problem-solving, and self-confidence in every child.
